Clint Lawrence is a Texas born but Atlanta-based performing singer/songwriter and Medical Doctor who believes in the healing power of music as therapy for the soul.
Despite his busy medical practice obligations directing the only lung transplant program in Georgia, Clint performs locally at Open Mic and other venues in the Atlanta area, including Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, The RedLight Café in Atlanta, and Ragamuffin Music in Roswell (as the featured performer on occasion).
Clint travels extensively and during this past year has shared his music at many venues, including:
- Bluebird Café in Nashville
- Opening Bell in Dallas (Featured Performer)
- Ruta Maya in Austin
- Uncommon Ground in Chicago
- Crimson Moon Cafe in Dahlonega
- McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Houston
He also joined Kent Finlay’s Songwriter’s Circle at the famed Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos on several occasions.
Clint recently turned his songwriting skills to the story of one of his lung transplant patients, in Waiting for the Call, which has become quite celebrated in the transplant community. He also enjoys performing at community service and charity events, such as the International Conference on Medical Volunteerism at Emory University this April, and 500 Songs for Kids in Atlanta this May. He also helped organize and performed in the Georgia Transplant Foundation’s Battle of Physician Bands in Atlanta this June, helping raise over $23,000 in proceeds.
Clint is dedicated to growing as a performing singer/songwriter and is currently working towards release of his second CD within the next year.
